Testimonials

About "The Realia Jesus: An Archaeological Commentary on the Gospel of Luke" : "This beautifully illustrated, carefully researched, and up-to-date book answers many of the questions. . . I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about the Gospels and Jesus's life and ministry."

(Craig S. Keener, Professor of biblical studies, Asbury Theological Seminary)

About "He Goes Out Weeping": "He Goes Out Weeping is a thriller which will appeal to fans of Dan Brown and to readers who like a little theology with their chills."

(Fawn Knight, Emerita Professor of English Literature, Kentucky Christian University)

About "Archaeology of Daily Life" : “The Archaeology of Daily Life is a detailed yet accessible account of how ordinary people lived during New Testament times. It readily captures the reader’s imagination and allows her or him to envision the significance of the Jesus movement in the world in which it unfolded.”

(David J. Fuller, McMaster Divinity College Press)

About "Hear Today: Compassion and Grace in the Parables of Jesus" : “Fiensy’s treatment of each of the twelve selected parables of Jesus is unparalleled in clarity and relevance. Not only are his explanations biblically accurate, they are applied with precision to our own real life struggles, and the applications are vividly illustrated from actual examples drawn from today’s headlines. While written for small group study, Hear Today is a can’t-miss resource for teaching and preaching the parables in a way that is sure to connect with the human heart.”

(Keith P. Keeran, Chancellor and Distinguished Professor of Leadership and Communication, Kentucky Christian University, Grayson, KY)

About "The Journey: Spiritual Growth in Galatians and Philippians" : “A fascinating read! Scholarly, yet eminently pastoral. Whimsical, yet thoughtful and provocative. This study will be a great resource for pastors or groups working through Galatians or Philippians. Dr. Fiensy makes no attempt to be comprehensive. Rather, he discovers those nuggets that can be the gamechangers for a serious Jesus follower. This is not a resource you will consult just once."

(Stephen Pattison, Ph.D., Lead Pastor, Capital City Christian Church, Frankfort, KY
